چکیده

Obesity is a multifactorial disease whose onset and development are shaped by the individual genetic background. The melanocortin 4 receptor gene (MC4R) involved in regulation of food intake energy expenditure. Some single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) this related to obesity metabolic risk factors. present study was undertaken assess relationship between three polymorphism SNPs, namely, rs17782313, rs17773430 rs34114122, One hundred seventy-eight children with aged 7 16 years were studied determine anthropometric variables biochemical inflammatory parameters. Our results highlight that factors, especially alterations carbohydrate metabolism, rs17782313. presence minor C allele variants (C–C–C) significantly associated measures indicative obesity, such as body mass fat indexes, increased values insulinemia 21.91 µIU/mL respect wild type values. suggests C–C–C haplotype SNPs rs34114122 MC4R potentiates factors at early ages obesity.

Association between the Melanocortin-4 Receptor (MC4R) Gene Polymorphisms and Growth Trait in Sumba Ongole Cattle

Melanocortin-4 receptor (MC4R) gene has been known as a candidate gene for growth traits in livestock. This research was aimed to identify the polymorphism of MC4R gene and its association with growth traits in Sumba Ongole (SO) cattle. The growth traits data consist of body weight and body size. Eighty four blood samples were collected and used for DNA isolation. The...

ارتباط بین فعالیت فیزیکی و نمایه توده بدنی با توجه به ژنوتیپ های مختلف رسپتور ملانوکورتین4 (MC4R)

Background and Aim: Malfunction in the energy homeostasis central system resulting from melanocortin receptor 4 (MC4R) mutations is considered to be an important factor in development of obesity. Although physical activity can weaken the effect of obesity-related genes, very few investigations have been carried out in relation to the MC4R gene. This study was conducted to investigate the associ...
